FREEMAN R. JACKSON AND CO.'S REPORT.
On the Gth inst. at AVanganui we had a large ?ntry of horses at our borse sale, '''be attendance was good, but very little demand, only a few outside buyers b?ing present. On tbo Bth inst. at our AVanganui •stock sale we yarded 540 bead of cattl^ 2000 sheep, and 115 pigs. The demanu for sheep was not so keen as of Into. However, we s )ld the greater portion of the entry at satisfactory prices. Good bidding for cattle and most lines yarded sold at ruling rates. Butcher's pics somewhat easier, no doubt owing; to the hot weather, but small stores or o-ood quality maintained late values. 13 On the 10th inst. at AVaverley sale our yarding consisted of 320 head ov cattle nnd 400 sheep. Wo had a good
attendance of buyers, and biddings for cattle free throughout, a nice line of well-bred yearlings put up by Mr W. Wybourno fetched £2 19s Cd, and the heifers the same a : go made £2 4s. All other lines made full values. A small entry of sheep found buyers at good prices. We offered a nice farm for lense owned by Mr. D. Wilkie, and Messrs T. and G. Alexander became the lessees (without the homestead) at 30s per acre.
