Dalgety and Co., Ltd., Palmerston North, report on the sales of the wick as below: Al the Bulls sale on Monday, the 2nd Inst., there was •* good entry of b-th sheep and cattle, when practically all lines changed hands at satisfuct rv prices. Quotations:- —Empty ewe ; ’., 10s 9d to 12s 4d: medium mixed lambs. Bis 9'l: fair wether lamb-, 18s sd; wcthci lambs, 22s 4d; ewo lambs, 23s 4d; forward ewes, 18s to 19s 4d; m.a. ewe.-, r.w. Bum. rams, 275; m.a. ewes, rm. S.D. rams, 28s 8d; small 2 tooth wethers, 25s 3d; fat 2-tooths, 30s; light 'at lambs, 20s 8d; fat ewes, 21s, 235, to 255; light fat cows, £3 10s to £3 12s 6d; store cows, 25s to 30s; forward cows, £2 12s 6d to £2 15s.
At the Ashhirrst sale on Wednesdty, the 4th Inst., there was a small entry of sheep and a fair yarding of cattle. Quotations: —Good w.f. lambs, 245: small 2-tooth wethers, 22s lOd; small 2 and 4-tooth empty ewes, 225; springing cowes, £5 2s 6d, £6 2s 6d, to £7 7s 6d; store cows, 20s to 25es; forward cows’ 355, £2, tn £2 ss; light fat cows, £3 ss’ At the Feilding sale on Friday, the 6th inst., there was a fair yarding of sheep and cattle, when there was a good demand for all the better class sheep. Quotations: —Fat ewes, 21s to 24s Id; m.a. ewes, r.w. S.D. rams, 20s 6d to 235; 4 and 5-year ewes, r.w. S.D. rams, 26s to 28s 4d; empty ewes, Ils to 18s 3d; fat cows, £3 17s 6d, £4 7s 6d, to £6.
