SANDON NOTES

A meeting of the Sandon Old Boys Association was held in the County office on Saturday. There was a good attendance. Mr. W. JCroucher presided. Various matters of detail in connection with the annual re-union to be held on Friday next were arranged for. The secretary reported that the meeting of ladies in connection with supper arrangements was very successful and that there is every indication of having a good gathering. The competition games in the TeKawau Rugby Sub-union were continued on Saturday and of the four games played there were three Qt‘ them drawn. The teams in both compeitions are very even and an interesting contest should result. Results were as follow:

Sandon and “United at Sandon, the home team winning by 6 points to 3. A. Sanson scored a try and K. Marsh kicked a penalty. For the losers J. Cameron kicked a penalty. Mr. J. F. Richardson was in control of the game. Awahuri played a drawn game with Ohakea on the latter’s ground the score being 3 all. Awahuri scored a try and Ohakea a penalty goal. These two teams \lso played a draw when they met last. In the Juniors’ United drew with Awahuri, -there all. Mr. G. Fitzgerald was referee.

Kaimatarau and Rongotea played a no score draw. Mr. S. Reeve refereed. These teams have now played three games all ending in drawn games with no score.
