HERD TESTING ASSOCIATION The following are summaries for March and April results: MARCH. Herds tested 42, cows 1433. Association average pci cow: 5441bs milk, 4.3 test, 23.601bs butterfat. Highest cow: 1155, 4.5, 51.97. Lowest Cow: 180, 2.7, 4.8 G. APRIL. 34 herds, 1145 cows. Association average per cow: 511, 4.6, 23.17. Highest cow: 975, 5.2, 50.70. Lowest cow—7s, 4.1, 3.07. The following is extracted from a, letter received from tho director of Dairy Division:— °We have to advise of the average, grade of your butter for the year ended March 31 last—At Wanganui your average was 94.31 points and you are first on the list at this port. At Wellington average grade was 93.87 points, you being third on the list at this port. The average of these two averages working on the tonnage graded at each port is 93.87, this being the highest in the Dominion. The supply of cream has fallen off very rapidly during the past few weeks and is now being collected twice weekly.
