Others were uncharged, although the market rhovved a decided firmer tone. Choice prime oxen, £1 3s 6d to 27s per lOOlbs., plain and unfinished, 20s to 23s per 1001 b.; prime young cow and heifer, 22s to 25s per lOOlbs.; other cow, 12s to 17s per 1001 b. Calvers penned in full numbers and sold under steady competition at improved values. Runners, £1 10s to £3 7s; heavy vealers, £2 Is to £3 ss; medium vealers, 30s to £2; light vealers,' 20s to 295; smaller, 12s to 19s; small and fresh dropped, 3s to Ils.

Sheep.—There -were large numbers, prime quality selling readily at improved values. Unfinished were easier. Heavy prime wethers, £1 17s 9d to £1 19s 9d; medium, £1 14s to £1 17s 6d; light, £1 10s to £1 13s 9d; unfinished and small wethers, £1 3s to £1 9s 9d; heavy prime ewes, £1 8s 6d to £1 Ils Cd; medium, £1 6s to £1 8s; light, £1 3s to £1 5s Cd; inferior ewes, 18s to £1 2s Cd; very poor, 6s upwards. Lambs were penned in average numbers, and sold at late quotations. Heavy prime lambs, £1 7s 9d to £1 10s; medium prime lambs, £1 4s to £1 7s Cd; light prime lambs, £1 Is to £1 3s 9d; unfinished lambs, 13s to 20s; very poor and weedy, 6s upwards. Pigs.—Average numbers sold at late quotations. Choppers, £3 to £4; heavy and medium baconers, £3 15s to £4 3s; light baconers and heavy porkers, £2 12s to £3 14s; medium and light porkers, £2 to £2 10s; large stores, £1 to £1 13s; slips, 15s to £1 2s; weaners, 10s to 19s.
