WANGANUI FAT STOCK SALE
The market was dull at the stock sale at Wanganui East yesterday. Only one line of good quality ewes were offered selling at 29s 3d. Some wethers passed at 31s 4d. The cattle market was unchanged. Prices: Sheep.—Three hundred ana eighty mixed age ewes from Kakatani 29s 3d; 101 m.s lambs 17s 4d; 110 fat and forward wese passed 20s 6d; 6 3 fat and forward 2-th wethers passed 31s 4d; 34 b.f. lambs passed 10s; 45 aged ewes in lamb, no offer; 175 m.s. lambs 19s 6d; 17 mixed sex lambs, small, passed 9s 9d; 4 6 forward empty ewes passed 15s; 24 6-th ewes, in lamb, passed 19s; 20 lambs passed 12s 6d; 41 empty ewes passed Ils.
Cattle.—s fat steers £5 ss; 4 fat cows passed £2 15s; 2 fat cows £3 15s; 2 do £4 12s 6d; do £3 10s; 3 fat heifers £3 13s 6d; 4 fat cows passed £4 2s 6d, good quality fat cow passed £3 11s, 3 fat cows passed £2 13s; 11 Hereford steers, low condition, passed 27s 6d; 25 2 J -yr empty heifers, passed £2, 7 cows passed 30s; yearlings 17s; young heifers 31s.
