M 12 The Land Transfer Act came into operation in the Auckland, Wellington, Canterbury, and Otago Land Registration Districts on and from the 1st day of February, 1871 j in the Nelson Land Registration District, on and from the 15th February, 1871; and in the Marlborough, Westland, Southland, Hawke's Bay, and Taranaki Land Registration Districts, on and from the 28th February, 1871.
