No. 629, 1891.—Petition of Enoka te Taitu and Others. Petitionees pray that the administration of Native reserves in Wellington may be handed over to them. I am directed to report that the Committee is of opinion the petition should be referred to the Government for consideration. 11th August, 1892.

No. 231.—Petition of Te Oeo Aneti and 4 Others. Petitioners pray that the succession order in favour of Mrs. De Thierry in connection with land of the late Ani Haumoariki may be set aside, and a former one in favour of themselves reinstated. I am directed to report that, as this is a question which should be decided in a Court of law, the Committee has no recommendation to make.

Petitionee alleges that money is still owing to him in connection with the purchase of Opunake, and prays that same may be paid. .1 am directed to report that the Committee is of opinion the petition should be referred to the Government for consideration. No. 133.—Petition of Kibihipena Pateoeo and Another. Petitionees claim to be the true successors to the interests of the late Apihai te Kawau in the Orakei Block, and pray that a rehearing may take place in order to give them an opportunity of establishing their claim. I am directed to report that, as the subject of this petition is a matter which should be decided in the law-courts, the Committee has no recommendation to make. 11th August, 1892.

No. 97. —Petition of Te Waeo te Hate and 5 Others. Petitionees pray for a rehearing in connection with the Pokuru Block. I am.directed to report that the Committee has no recommendation to make with regard to this petition. 12th August, 1892.
