No. 171. —Petition of Ellen Home. Petitioner alleges that her late husband, Eobert Home, purchased 606 acres of the Taumata Block from the Natives, but, owing to the restrictions placed thereon by Government, was unable to obtain possession. She now prays that any portion of the block may be granted to her in lieu. I am directed to report that the Committee is of opinion that this petition should be referred to the Government for inquiry. 9th August, 1892. .
