Ueewera District Native Eeserve Bill. I have the honour to report that the Native Affairs Committee, to whom was referred the above Bill, have duly considered the same, and recommend that it be allowed to proceed, subject to the amendments as shown in a copy attached hereto. 18th September, 1896.

Petitionee prays that the recommendation of the Native Affairs Committee of last year on the question of -her grievances in connection with Waiharakeke and Okauia Blocks may be carried into effect. I am directed to report that the Committee are of opinion that immediate steps should be taken by the Government to carry out the recommendation referred to. 24th September, 1896.
