Petitioner prays that all leases given by the Receiver of the Whangara Block under authority of decrees of the Validation Court may be declared, by legislation, to be absolutely valid and registerable forthwith. I am directed to report that the Committee recommends that this petition be referred to the Government in order that legislation may be passed to give effect to the prayer of the petitioner. 12th September, 1901.
