SCHEDULE. ' MIDDLE ISLAND ELECTORAL DISTRICTS. City of Nelson. This district is bounded towards the north and north-west generally by Tasman Bay from the western extremity of Rabbit Island to the French Pass; thence by the French Pass, Hamilton Bay, and Admiralty Bay to Clay Point: thence towards the north-east by Cook Strait to Pelorus Sound : thence towards the south-east generally by Pelorus Sound to the mouth of the Pelorus River at a point in line with the south-western boundary-line of Section No. 27, Havelock Suburban Section : thence again towards the north-east by the said Section No. 27 to its southernmost corner; thence by a right line to Takorika Trig. Station : thence towards the east by the summit of the range between the Rivers Wakamarina and Kaituna over Trig. Stations A and V to Mount Riley : thence again towards the south-east by the summit of the main range between the Wakamarina River and the Wairau River, over Mount Sunday and Mount Baldy to the summit of the main range between the Pelorus and Wairau Valleys ; thence by the summit of that range, over Fishtail and Mount Richmond and Old Man, to the boundary-line between the Land Districts of Nelson and Marlborough : thence again towards the south-west and north-west by the boundaryline between the Land Districts of Nelson and Marlborough to the southern boundary-line of Square 18 : thence again towards the south by a line running due west until it is intersected by a right line bearing S. 45° W. from a point about two miles distant from the north-eastern corner of Section No. xviii., Suburban North, and in line with the north-eastern boundary-line of the said Section No. xviii.: thence again towards the south-east by a right line bearing S. 45° W., until it intersects the River Lee: thence towards the south-west generally by the said River Lee to its confluence with the River Roding; thence by the latter river to its confluence with the River Wairoa, and thence by the last-mentioned river to the Nelson-Belgrove Railway-line ; thence by the said railway-line to the south-western boundary of Section No. 40 of Block IX., Waimea Survey District; thence by the south-western boundary-line of the said Section No. 40 and that line produced across the Wai-iti River to Section No. lof 161; thence by the southern boundaryline of Part of Section 1 of 161 of the said Waimea Survey District, by the south-western boundary-line of Section No. 165, and the north-western boundary-line of the said Section No. 165, and part of the north-western boundary-line of Section No. 162, to the southern corner of Section No. 16, Waimea Survey District; thence by the south-western and north-western boundaries, of the said Section No. 16 and the north-eastern boundary of Section No. 17 to the westernmost corner of Section No. 12, Waimea Survey District; thence by the northwestern boundary-line of the said Section No. 12 to the road which forms the northern boundary of that section; thence by that road and its continuation, passing Sections Nos. 13, 14, 26, 19, 206, 182, and 4, Wai-iti Survey District, to the westernmost corner of Section No. 186, Eve's Valley, of the said Wai-iti Survey District; thence by the north-western boundary of the said Section No. 186 to Section No. 37, Wai-iti Survey District; thence by Sections Nos. 1, 188, 7, and 27 to the southernmost corner of Section No. 126, Wai-iti Survey District; thence by the south-western boundary-lines of Sections Nos. 126 and 127 to the westernmost corner of the last-mentioned section; thence by Sections Nos. 29, 19, 3, 4, 11, 157, 13, 16, 14, 151, and 15, all of Wai-iti Survey District: thence towards the west generally by Sections Nos. 13, 11, 111, 10, 6, 5, and 4, Block XIV., Motueka Survey District, and by Section No. 1, Block XV., Motueka Survey District : thence towards the north generally by Sections Nos. 21 and 73, Block XL, Motueka Survey District, and by Sections Nos. 74, 138, 141, 143, 145, 84, 82, and 81, Block XV., Motueka Survey District, and by Sections Nos. 80, 115, 1, 158, 159, 26a, 27, and 31a, Block XVI., Motueka Survey District, to the south-eastern corner of the last-mentioned section ; thence by Sections Nos. 29 and 28, 1 and 2, Moutere Survey District, to the southernmost point of the last-mentioned section ; thence by a right line to the western extremity of Rabbit Island, the place of commencement: including D'Urville Island, Stephen's Island, Rabbit Island, Saxon's Island, Oyster Island, Pepin Island, and Fifeshire Island. Motueka. This district is bounded towards the north-west and north by the sea from the Ngakawhau River to the Cape Farewell Lighthouse: thence towards the east generally by Golden Bay and Tasman Bay to the City of Nelson Electoral District, hereinbefore described, at Rabbit Island : thence towards the south generally and towards the north-east by the said City of Nelson Electoral District to the summit of the watershed between the Wairau and Pelorus Valleys : thence towards the south-east generally by the boundary-line between the Land Districts of Nelson and Marlborough to Tophouse; thence by the summit of St. Arnaud Range and the summit of the Spenser Mountains to Faerie Queen : thence towards the south-west generally by the summit of the leading range to the Cann Range, and thence by the summit of the Cann Range to the saddle between the Rivers Warwick and Warbeck ; thence by the summit of the leading ridge to the Mantell Range, and thence by the summit of the Mantell Range and by the leading spur to the Buller River at a point about 30 chains to the westward of the confluence of Doughboy Creek with the Buller River: thence again towards the south by the right bank of the Buller River to the western boundary-line of Inangahua County : thence towards the west by the said western boundary of the Inangahua County to Bald Hill, Block X., Lyell Survey District, on the Lyell Range: thence again towards the south-west by the summit of the watershed leading up to the head-waters of Lyell Creek and Slaty Creek and by the summit of the leading spur to the source of the said Slaty Creek : thence by a line due west to the nearest source of the Ngakawhau River; and thence by the said Ngakawhau River to the sea.
