I am directed to report that, this petition being informal, the Committee cannot deal with the same. 29th September, 1903.

No. 1212, 1901.—Petition of Ripeka Tiria, and 9 Others. Petitioners pray for readjustment of succession to certain deceased owners in Okaunga and Opou Blocks. I am directed to report that the Committee recommends to the favourable consideration of the Government the adoption of the suggestion made by Mr. Sheridan in his report on this petition, dated the 15th September, 1903. 29th September, 1903.

Native Townships Amendment Bill. The Native Affairs Committee, to whom was referred the above-mentioned Bill, directs me to report that it has duly considered the same, and is of opinion it should be allowed to proceed without any amendment. 30th September, 1903.

The Native Affairs Committee, to whom was referred the above-mentioned Bill, directs me to report that it has duly considered the same, and is of opinion that it should be allowed to proceed, subject to the amendment in clause 3, as shown on a copy of the Bill attached hereto. 30th September, 1903.
