If a school pass from a lower to a higher grade, the annual payment shall uot Ir , less than the highest amount payable to schools of the said lower grade. The " Incidental Expenses Fund " is expected to meet the cost of cleaning school buildtugs and premises, sweeping chimneys, providing fuel for the schoolrooms, making petty repairs io the school buildings, >Vc, and the expenses incurred in connection with the Committee s meet ings, and must not be spent on prizes, fetes, or entertainments. 24. The following articles will be supplied free of cost to all schools attended by children from two or more families: Ink, powder, chalk, blackboards, maps, and official envelopes (addressed). Foolscap Tor examination purposes will be supplied free of cost, at the rate of half a quire per annum, for each scholar in Standards 111 to VII. The Board's scale of allowances to School Committees, exclusive of grants For repairs paid out of the building-maintenance votes, is as follows: — For, all schools having an average daily attendance of I and less than 12, nil. For all schools having an average daily attendance of 12 and less than 2li, ."is. (id. per head per annum. For all schools having an average daily attendance of 2(i and less than 11. ."is. per bead per annum. For all schools having an average daily attendance of 41 and less than 91, Is. (id. per head per annum. For all schools having an averege daily attendance exceeding 90, Is. per head per am (l>.)
