No. 306 (1911).—Petition of Waata W. Hipango and 406 Others, of Wanganui. Praying that Whanganui lands which are vested in Maori Land Board be exempted from the provisions of the Native Land Amendment Act, 1913, and praying also that a Commission be set up to inquire as to taking of Whanganui lands for scenery-preservation purposes. I am directed to report that in the opinion of the Committee this petition should be referred to the Government for favourable consideration. 23rd October, 1914.

No. 472 (1913). Petition of Eruera Hurutara and 9 Others, of Pipiriki. Praying that land known as Te Aomarama Papakainga, part of Whakaihuwaka Block, alleged to have been taken as a scenic reserve, be returned to the Native owners. I am directed to report that in the opinion of the Committee this petition should be referred to the Government for favourable consideration. 23rd October. 1914.

No. 307 (1914).—Petition of J. T. Large. (Second Report.) Petitioner states that certain Natives allege that they are the rightful owners of Takutea Island, and prays that the title to the said island be investigated at the next sitting of the Court ai Atiu, Cook Islands. I am directed to report that in the opinion of the Committee this petition should be referred to the Government for consideration.
