Clauses 41 and 49 or the Reserves and Other Lands Disposal and Public Bodies Empowering Bill. The Native Affairs Committee, to which were referred clauses 41 and 49 of the above-mentioned Bill, has the honour to report that, it has carefully considered same, and recommends that clause 41 be not allowed to proceed, and that clause 49 be allowed to proceed with amendment as shown on the copy of the Bill attached hereto. 2nd August, 1916. | Translation. | Ripoata mo runga mo Rarangi 41 me 49 o te Pire Tuku Rahui me era atu Whenua, Whakamana Hoki i nga Ropu Whakahaere mo te Katoa. I have the honour to report that at a meeting of the Native Affairs Committee held this morning the following resolution was unanimously carried :— " That the Committee desires to place on record its appreciation of the ability, tact, and courtesy displayed by the Chairman, Mr. J. A. Young, at, the meetings of the Committee; that this resolution be recorded in. the minutes and reported to the House." 4th August, 1916. [Translation.] Ripoata Motuhake.
