Special Report. I have the honour to report that at a meeting of the above Committee held on the 12th September, 1928, the following resolution was proposed by Mr. Burnett, seconded by Mr. Kyle, and carried unanimously :—• " That this Committee desires, on behalf of all who are interested in the sheep industry in New Zealand, to tender to Messrs. J. D. Ritchie and J. L. Bruce their cordial thanks for their long-continued efforts to evolve a satisfactory system of earmarking sheep : and, further, that this resolution be recorded in the minutes of the Committee and be reported to the House." 4th October, 1928.
Special Report. I have the honour to report that the Agricultural and Pastoral Industries and Stock Committee desires to record its cordial appreciation of the courtesy and ability with which the Chairman, Sir George Hunter, has presided over the meetings of the Committee during the session. I am directed to report that the Agricultural and Pastoral Industries and Stock Committee desires to express its appreciation of the ability and courtesy with which the Clerk, Mr. Fox, has performed his duties during the session. It further desires that this resolution shall be recorded in the minutes of the Committee and be reported to the House. 4th October, 1928.
Final Report. I have the honour to report that the Agricultural and Pastoral Industries and Stock Committee, consisting of ten members, has held five meetings during the session, and the average attendance of members at these meetings has been six. One Bill and one petition were referred to the Committee, and these were duly considered and reported to the House. 4th October, 1928. George Hunter, Chairman.
