(2) In previous reports this table has been prepared to show the information as at the 31st Decembei' of the year concerned. For the Department's purposes, however, it has been found more convenient to obtain the information as at the 30th June in each year instead of at the end of the year. The information is accordingly presented in the above table as at the 30th June, 1928.
