Workers' Compensation Amendment Bill. I have the honour to report that, in consequence of the official statement to the effect that the whole position of the Workers' Compensation Act is to be investigated during the recess with a view to introducing legislation next session, the Committee decided not to take evidence on the matter, and under all the present circumstances recommends that the Bill be not allowed to proceed in the meantime, and that consideration be deferred. 7th October, 1929.

Shops and Offices Amendment Bill (No. 2). I have the honour to report that the Committee has carefully considered the above Bill, and recommends that it be allowed to proceed without amendment. 7th October, 1929.

I have the honour to report that, as the subject-matter of this petition was carefully considered in conjunction with consideration of the Shops and Offices Amendment Bill, upon which the Committee is reporting, the Committee has no recommendation to make. 7th October, 1929.

I have the honour to report that the members of the Labour Bills Committee desire to record their cordial appreciation of the able and assiduous manner in which the Clerk of the Committee, Mr. Llewellyn Meredith, has during the session performed the duties of his office. Final Report. I have the honour to report that the Labour Bills Committee, consisting of ten members, has during the session held seven meetings, with an average attendance at each meeting of eight members.
