ORDERS OF REFERENCE. Extracts from the Journals of the House of Representatives. Friday, the 2nd Day of August, 1929. Ordered, " That a Select Committee be appointed, consisting of ten members, to consider all matters pertaining to agricultural and pastoral industries and stock ; with power to confer and sit together with any similar Committee which may be appointed by the Legislative Council, and to agree to a joint or separate report; the Committee to have power to call for persons, papers, and records ; three to be a quorum : the Committee to consist of Mr. Hall, Mr. Hawke, Sir George Hunter, Mr. Kyle, Mr. Langstone, Mr. Lye, Mr. Macpherson, Mr. Martin, Mr. Poison, and the mover." —(Hon. Mr. Forbes.) Monday, the 21st Day of October, 1929. Ordered, " That the Slaughtering and Inspection Bill be referred to the Agricultural and Pastoral Industries and Stock Committee." —(Hon. Mr. Forbes.) Extract from the Journals of the Legislative Council. Friday, the 30th Day of August, 1929. Ordered, " That the question of the admission of Alsatian dogs into the Dominion, and the possibility of their becoming a menace to sheep-farmers and others, be referred to the Joint Agricultural and Pastoral Committee for consideration and report."—(Hon.
