Reserves and Other Lands Disposal Bill. I have the honour to report that the Lands Committee has carefully considered the Reserves and other Lands Disposal Bill, and recommends that the Bill be allowed to proceed, with the amendment shown on the copy of the Bill hereto annexed. 24th October, 1935.

No. 193,—Petition of R. J. A. Dalley, of Woodend, North Canterbury. Praying for an inquiry into the administration of his affairs by the Lands Department. I have the honour to report that the Lands Committee has carefully considered this petition, and has no recommendation to make. 25th October, 1935.

No. 28. —Petition of W. E. Timmings, of Wellington. Praying for restoration of property of which he was allegedly wrongfully dispossessed, or for compensation. I have the honour to report that the Lands Committee has carefully considered this petition, and has no recommendation to make. J. A. Macpherson, Chairman. 25th October, 1935.

Special Report. I have the honour to report that at its final meeting the Lands Committee unanimously passed the following resolution: " That this Committee places on record its appreciation of the care and ability with which the Chairman, Mr. Macpherson, has conducted the business of the Committee during the session, and directs that this resolution be reported to the House." H. G. Dickie, a Member of the Committee. 25th October, 1935.

Special Report. I have the honour to report that at its final meeting the Lands Committee expressed by resolution its appreciation of the services rendered to the Committee by the Clerk, Mr. W. J. Organ, and directed that the resolution be reported to the House. 25th October, 1935.

Pinal Report. I have the honour to report that the Lands Committee, consisting at the commencement of the session of ten members, has held eight meetings, with an average attendance of seven members. The Committee has to record the loss it sustained by the death of one of its number, the late Mr. Connolly. Fourteen Bills and fifteen Petitions were referred to the Committee, and all have been considered and reported on to the House. J. A. Macpherson, Chairman. 25th October, 1935.
