REPORTS No. 23/1942. —Petition of J. Parlane and Others, of Christchurch Praying for an increase in the price paid to producers of milk for Christchurch City. I have the honour to report that, in view of the fact that since this petition was presented a Milk Commission has been appointed to investigate the matter of milk-supply in the main centres, the Committee did not see fit to call evidence, and has no recommendation to make. 10th June, 1943.

No. 48/1942. —Petition of E. R. Greenfield, of Auckland Praying for an investigation into the supply of first-run films to the Dominion Road area, Auckland, and for a more equitable distribution of films. I have the honour to report that the Industries and Commerce Committee has heard evidence on, and has carefully considered, this petition, and recommends that the Government investigate the present distribution of films in New Zealand, with a view to securing a more equitable service for all exhibitors. The Committee recommends that this report be referred to the Government. 10th June, 1943.
