Christy and 4 Others, of Nuhaka Praying that legislation be enacted providing for the setting-up of a Court of no less than two Judges of the Native Land Court to rehear the circumstances surrounding the sale of Mahia Block. I am directed to report that in the opinion of the Committee this petition should be referred to the Government for consideration, with a recommendation that an inspection be made by the Court. 20th September, 1944. No. 87/1943. —Petition of Ngahuia Beasley, of Parua Bay Praying for inquiry into the ownership of certain land in the Parish of Waikare. I am directed to report that in the opinion of the Committee this petition should be referred to the Government for consideration, with a recommendation that the Native Land Court be empowered to hear and determine the claim on its merits. 27th September, 1944.
