AUCKLAND, Saturday. In ldeal conditions underfoot and overhead and before a record crowd Wellington plaj-ed the Auckland Soccer representatives for tlie Football Association trophy at Blandford Park Lliis afternoon. The visitors were never allowed to settle down, Aucklaud's faultless position play and combination making them innsters of the situation. Only in the first 20 minutes of tlie secoud spell were the visitors dangerous, Batty being called upon to handle a hard drive from Barton, and a moment later McLeod missed a nice chance close in, but Auckland were mostlv on the attack. lnnes terminated a fast run by a pretty centre, and again Spencer was in a position to get a clearance from McVean and score Aucklaud's fourth goal. Immediately after the kick off Wellington were awarded a penalty and Lambert placed nicely into the goal, for McLeod to beat Batty.
