MANAWATU v. TAMATEA. WIN FOR THE SOUTHERN VISIT^ ORS. A ladies' hockey match between Manawatu and Tamatea was played at Nelson Park. Hastings, and was very keenly contested. I11 tlie first spell, Miss L. Schlierike secured a good goal for Manawatu, who were leading at half-time. The second spell opened vigorously and Miss M. Beuth put in a second goal for Manawatu. Despite everv endeavour to equalise, Tamatea could not score, the game finisliing with the score — Manawatu 2 Tamatea 0 Tbe referees were Messrs C. H. Simmonds and W. Lundy.
