EIGHTH CONTINGENT.

ADDINGTON CAMP. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Christchurch, last night. The Premier visited Addington camp to-day, and inspected the men and the various arrangements. Ho accepted Mr P. Burke’s offer to continue the catering till the men embark, at a reduced rate, a squad from the contingent to do rough work in the kitchens. One hundred liornoe were allotted and saddlery issued. Elevon men, mostly from the Otago quota, are sufferiug from minor ailments. The camp was open to the public yestorda.y afternoon. The supplementary roll has now been finally closed.
