DEATH OF MR CECIL RHODES.
STREAM OF PEOPLE FOR SEVEN HOURS. By Telegraph— Press Association—Copyright London, March 30. Fifteen thousand people, forming an uninterrupted stream for seven hours, passed the late Mr Rhodes’ coffin lying in the death chamber at Groot Tchur. Rhodes’ body lies in state in the vestibule of Parliament House until Thursday. The carriage of the long Cecil gun will be used to bear the remains to the Cathedral.

The Daily Mail states that the late Mr Rhodes bequeathed the bulk of his fortune to a pan-Britannic scheme of education .for the intellectual betterment of the race to enable it to cope successfully with rival nationalities. The scheme embraces every part of the Empire.
