DISAPPOINTE D TEACHERS. By Telegraph—Piess Association. Christchurch, last night. The city teachers are very indignant at the Board of Education decision to appoint only teachers who have had charge of schools to head masterships and first masterships in the large city schools. They state that the country teachers will have an unfair advantage, and talk of holding an indignation meeting. GOVERNMENT LAUNCH. The Government launch Ellen Ballanco is little the worse for her long and rough passage from Wellington, and tho only noticeable sign of damage is the slight bending of the steel sheave affixed to her stern for use in raising or lowering sunken torpedoes. This was effected by the launch coming in contact with the ltotomahaua’s stern.
