RIFLE SHOOTING.
By Telegraph—Press Association. Auckland, last night. The Auckland Rifle Association’s annual mooting concluded on Saturday. The Northern Match, with tho Star Gup, was won by Private \V. Cox, Victoria Riflos, who also won the Auckland Match and the Herald Cup on Thursday. Cox was also Arab in the aggregate, with 165 points, and roceivcs Mr Kohu’s gold medal as champion of tho mooting. Private P. Brown, of Hauraki Rifles, was second in the aggregate with 163. Tho rapidity match was won by Lieut. Makgill, of Waiuku, with 34; Private Trethowon, of Hauraki Rifles, second, with 38. The Nursery Matoh was won by Sergt. Crosbie, of the Thames, with 34. Tho winners of tho volley tiring wore : VVhangarei Riflos, 80, 1 ; No. 3 Ohinemuri (Ist team), 76, 2 ; No. 1 Ohinemuri Rifles, 73, 3. The Victoria Rifles (Ist team) won the field tiring with 56, Thames Rifles being second with 44, uud Marsdeu Mounted Rifles 3rd with 40. Owing to want of time, tho Carbine Matoh was auandoned, and the Cadet Mateo was deferred till next Saturday. Toe uexi> annual meeting will probably be held at the new rauge at Penrose.
