TECHNICAL SCHOOL.

By Telegraph—Press Association. Auckland, last night. At a meeting of the Education Board appointments of teachers at the Technical School were made. It was decided to add agricultural chemistry to the list of subjects for instruction as soon as practicable. Mr George, director, presented a scheme for a course of commercial education. The course extends over a period of four years, and various examinations, for which certificates are to be issued and provided for. The scheme was forwarded to the Chamber of Commerce, with a letter suggesting that in making commercial appointments preference be given to persons holding certificates of the school, all things being equal. A diploma will be granted at the final examination. Mr George said that the school would be opened about the middle of March.
