PETITION FOR PARDON
(Per Press Association.) DUNEDIN, last night.
A petition hearing over tinec thousand signatures will he presented to the Governor, praying that pardon should be granted to Sarah Fogo convicted about three t ears ago of the murder of her husband, and now undergoing imprisonment lor life.

At the inquest on the bod 7 of Wedderspoon, who died while undergoing an operation for a growth at the hack of the nose, the mcdicaT evidence was to the effect -.hat the child had been thoroughly examined before the chloroform was administered and found to be in a lit state to receive if. While unconscious Die child was seized with a fit of convulsions, and expired, all efforts to restore consciousness proving unavailing. The jury returned a verdict in accordance with the medical evidence.
