ST. PATRICK'S SPORTS AND SOCIAL. A meeting of St. Patrick's Sports Committee was held at the Masonic Hotel last night The chief business was to receive and pass tho balauce-sheot, which showed tho following result: Total receipts ... £251 12 10 Expenditure ... 145 15 2 Balance ... £lO5 17 8 The social, which wao under tho management of tho ladies, showed a profit of £73 6s, making a grand total Ot 3s Bd. _ _ . , _ -,
° It was proposed, seconded and carried that tho balance-sheet bo adopted. Mr J. H. Martin proposed a hearty voto of thanks to the ladies for the splendid results shown by them. The motion was seconded by Mr J. Nisbott and earned with applauso. , . A voto of thanks was accorded to tuo secretary and treasurer for their services. Tho result of tho Hospital raco was £lB to that institution, tho satisfactory return being entirely duo to tho efforts of Mr G. F. Henderson. The committee desire to thunk ftd who gave their assistance in tho carrying out of tho day’s sports, which proved so successful.
