LICENSED VICTUALLERS
SATISFIED WITBt GOVERNMENT ANNOUNCEMENT. (Per Press Association.) Nelson, last night. A largely attended mooting of licensed victuallers and those interested in the trade wa3 held this afternoon, when the following resolutions wore carried unanimously : “ That this meeting of the various interests of tho licensed liquor trade of the Nelson district views with the utmostisatisEaction the announcement that tha Government purposes introducing and passing an amendment to the Licensing Act during tho present session of Parliament ” ; and “ That a copy of the resolution be sent to the Premier.” Mr Williams, Secretary of the New Zealand Licensed Victuallers’ Association, was present by invitation, and addressed the meeting. It was resolvod to affiliate with the Now Zoaland Association.
