PUBLIC SCHOOLS’ SPORTS

A general mooting of tho Poverty Bay Public Schools’ Amateur Athletic Association was held in the Gisborne School on Saturday morning to mako further arrangements for the annual sports, to be held on Victoria Domain on Thursday, December 3rd. A good programme of 45 events is submitted, and the meeting promises to be a great success. The following officers were appointed to manage the sports Judges : Messrs A. W. Rees, A. F. Kennedy, J. A. Caesar, C. White, R. N. Jones, J. t W. Nolan, J. H. Colebourne, A. Cuthbert, J. W. Bright, Oramond, Revs. H. Williams and Mulvihill. Timekeepers : Messrs Good, Wakolyn, Seymour, and Fraser. Recordkeepers : Mr E. H. Mann, Misses Stephenson and Adams. Board-keepers: Messrs Webber, Morico, and McLeod, Starters : Messrs Miller, Winter, and Nisbett. Marshals : Messrs Crawford, Wauchop, Sefton, Misses Baker, King, and Cantle. MarkmenMessrs Ellis, Wells, Misses Matheson and Lewis. Gate-keepers: Messrs Faram, Hunter, Shaw, and Cole. Competitors’ paddock: Messrs Woodward, Cole, Marshall, Crawford, Misses Faram, Evans, Morgan, and Faubert. Judges of competitions: Major Winter, Captains Colebourne and Warren. The following sub-committees were also appointed : Refreshments : Misses Matheson, Faram, Lewis, and Mr Mann. Programme: Messrs Wells, Wauchop, and Hunter. Materials: Messrs Cole, Wauchop, and Wells. Courso : Messrs Allan, Cole, Mann, and Crawford.
