MAGISTRATE’S COURT.
(Before Mr Barton, S.M.) Yesterday morning a well-dressed young'man named. Frank Von Lubbo, a musician, was brought before MiBarton, S.M., at the police court on three serious charges. He was first of all charged that lie did on or and treasurer of tho Tolago Bay (then being employed as secretary and treasurer of the Talago Bay Young Men’s Club) fraudulently convert to his own use the sum of £8 15s, money belonging to the said club, and received by him on account of such club. Ho was further charged with stealing a tin trunk, value 10s, the property of Charles John Boreham, shop assistant, of Tolago Bay, about tho 7th inst. Ho was also charged with stealing about tho sumo date at Tolago Bay one violin case, and one violin bow and strings, value £1 Is, tho property of James Halos.
Mr. T. Coleman, who appeared for tho accused, asked for a remand until to-day. lie had only been instructed a short time ago, and lie should like a little more time to go into the case. ,
His Worship granted a remand. Mr Coleman asked his Worship to allow bail, a request which was also granted. 'File Magistrate stated that tho hail required would be —defendant in £25, and two sureties in £25 each, or one in £SO.
