THE TECHNICAL SCHOOL.
To the Editor of the Gisborne Times. Sir, —Kindly grant me space to reply to the letter signed Herbert Ingram. Air. Ingram started the first quarter last year, when I advised all pupils who had received ho previous instruction. in the use of woodworking tools (Air. Ingram being one of these) to take a course of lessons on the use of tools and making various joints used in the construction useful articles. Air. Ingram did not choose to do so, lienoe his failure and dissatisfaction. Others who came for instruction and had common sense enough to take my advice were successful and expressed their satisfaction to me, and also liow sorry they were not being able to attend the full course of lessons.. When I asked Air. Ingram if he was coming tlie next quarter lie said lie was taking a course of lessons in engineering, and could not give the time as he wished to pass the exam.—another piece of Air. Ingram’s diplomacy. lam sorry he had not the courage of his convictions. However, I hope Air. Ingram will not feel hurt by my speaking the truth.—l am, etc., J. W. LEVEY, Woodwork Instructor.
