Drunkenness. —Wnterio Ranji was charged with having been found drunk anil was fined os with costs 2s, in default 48 hours imprisonment. Breach of Borough By-laws.—Wal-ter Black was charged with having leit an excavation abutting upon a street, without enclosing same and keeping a light burning thereupon. The defendant pleaded'guilty to the charge and stated that it was air oversight on liis part. He thought that the light, which he-had ■plaw'tWon (.lie shed close by would be sufficient to warn passesrs-by. A fine of os with costs 7s was nposod. Arnold Wilkinson, charged with having driven a cart- round a. corner at other than a walking pace pleaded guilty and was convicted and fined 10s with costs 7s.
