MAN KILLED AT AVHATATUTU.

At a late hour last uiglit an intimation was received by tho polico that a sad bushfclling fatality had occurred in tlio neighborhood of AATiatatutu, by means of which a- man named Cruickshank lost liis life. A T ery meagre details aro to hand, but from what can bo gathered the deceased man was felling -a- tree, which in some unexplained way fell on him, thus causing his- death. Constablo Doylo, of To Karaka, has tho matter in Laud, and it is probable than an illquest- will be held.
