H.B. LAND BOARD.
WAIMARAMA LANDS. (Special to Times.) NAPIER, April 10. At a mooting of the Hawke's Bay Land Board to-day, a letter was received from the solicitors for bliss Mcinertzliagen, asking for a re-hear-ing of her application for a lease or license to occupy certain Waimarama lands, ill- Eustace Lane, a member of the Board, referred to an application from Frank Donnelly for -the same Waimarama. laud. The Commissioner of Crown Lands (Mr. H. Trent) said that- F. Donnelly had been advised that no action could be taken in regard to tlio lands until they were subdivided for selection and tho areas were determined. The survey wa6 now being pushed on, and nothing could be done' by the Board in the meantime. The Board resolved to hold a special meeting on Thursday, 30tli inst., for the, purpose of rehearing bliss Meiuertzliagen’s application and dealing with F. Donnelly’s application. Mr. Lane remarked that- he did not see wliat was to be gained by holding a meeting when the’ Commissioner had been instructed that no action could bo taken.
