PORT AWANUI, (From Our Own Correspondent.) 11l response to a general request, To Rangi Pai gave a most successful song recital on Tuesday at the Rose Hotel, Port Awanui. Mr. Duff’s capacious billiard room was charmingly decorated for the occasion by tho host and hostess, and a record attendance of visitors from the surrounding stations and locality enjoyed a varied programme. Among the local singers, To Rangi Pai was very pleased with Miss Leith Slight, a child of tivelve years, and a niece of Mrs. Duff. Her voice is remarkable for its purity, and she gives promise of exceptional musical ability.
