HARBOR BOARD VACANCY.
MB. TOWNLEY SUCCESSFUL.
Tho election to fill the vacancy on the Gisborne Harbor Board, caused by the elevation of Mr. W. D. Lysnar to tho office of Mayor of Gisborne took place yesterday. Although the returns to hard are not official, the voting shows that Mr. John Townley will be successful ovei;«Mr. T. Holden by about 150 votes. The official returns will probably come to hand today or to-morrow, when tho exact result will be known.
The following were the votes recorded at the various booths:—
