There are many souvenirs being Compiled in connection with the visit Of the American fleet, and your representative has had the privilege of seeing many of them, and is of the opinion that the one now in the,printer’s hands compiled by two ex-Gisbornites will lead the way. The souvenir is rncatly compiled, and the front page consists of a sketch of a great white fleet entering Auckland harbor. Pago one will have as a heading a very clever sketch of the federated flags when independence w'as first declared, accompanied by photos of King Edward and President Roosevelt, each holding their respective flags,_ with . the motto : “United we stand, divided •• we fall.” The Declaration' of Independence'will be a prominent feature. Other .important productions will be pictures of His Excellency Admiral Sperry, the Mayor of Auckland, Sir Joseph Ward, members of the Cabinet nnd the Leader of tho Opposition.
