LONDON, Oct. 28
The London County Council accepted the tender of a Leeds flint, £24,000 sterling, for tram rails. The Moderates and Laborites rejected Mr. Bonn's amendment to accept a Belgian tender of £21,000, and apply the difference to giving, work tr the unemployed in connection with tramway extension. The Government proposes in connection with the- municipal loan specially authorised for the purposes of providing work in slack months, to pav local bodies from the central fund a sum representing the difference in value between ordinary labor and the labor of the unemployed.
