FIRE IN WELLINGTON
CLOTHING FACTORY DAMAGED

WELLINGTON, Nov. 9
A fire occurred yesterday morning in tlio top storey of the Colonial Mutual Society's building, occupied by A., Levy, clothing manufacturer. The damage to the building and to stock and fittings was between . £3O and £SOO. The building is insured for £II,OOO, and Levy’s stock for £IOUO in tho Norwich Union office, and there are small insurances on other stock owned by different firms in the premises.
STEAMERS BURNED
SUSPECTED INCENDIARISM

PALMERSTON N., Nov. 9. The Levin Co.’s two river steamers at F-oxton were destroyed by fire at 2 o’clock this morning under circumstances pointing to incendiarism. The- steamers were to have been in running excursionists from Palmerston to Foxton. Heads to-day.
