WELLINGTON, Nov

The new church of St, Gerard, for the Eodempiorist Fathers, was opened this morning by Archbishop Redwood, assisted by the Bishop of Christchurch, . who sang ' pontificial High Mass, Archbishop Redwood preaching the sermon. There was -a verv large and representative gatherum. The Bishops of Auckland and Dunedin were represented. The Hunch cost £6OOO, of which £4IOO is already in, the donations this morning totalling £576.
