THE PROPOSED LOAN

The proposed loan of £200,000 for harbor improvement was referred' to at to-day’s piecting of the Napier Harbor Board. The Chairman, Mr. .J. Vigor Brown, in reply to a question, suggested l that a poll should be taken in January, by wbic-li time ho hoped the increased value in wool and other products would have improved New Zealan’s financial cre.iir in the Old Country, am! the money market would be easier. Another suggestion made by a member of the Board met with -approval, namely that the striking of the annual rales should be delayed til] after the poll.
