A SENTENCE FOR BIGAMY/ [Press Association.] AUCKLAND, Dec. 16. Thomas Joseph Ladd appeared before Judge Edwards for sentence on a charge of bigamy The judge said he had decided to admit accused to probation for two years yas it did not appear as if -he had deceived tbe woman with whom he went through a form of marriage. His main mistake seemed to have been committed before he went through the marriage ceremony.

* WELLINGTON, Dec. 16. In the Supreme Court, Mr. Justice Cooper heard an application lor a decree nisi in the matter of the case of George Richard v. Beatrice Amy Richard, in -which a dissolution of marriage was sought. His Honor granted the decree, as prayed. Annie Maud Hilling was granted a dissolution of marriage with Robert W. Hilling on tho ground of desertion.
