Among the votes authorised by the Cabinet to-day are: —Railway extension, purchase of railway material and rolling stock, over £100,000; alterations to Te Awamutu Post Office, £400; repairs to Mental Hospitals, £7so;residence for postmaster, Waipiro Day, Gisborne, £500; telegraph extension from Opotiki to Toatoa, £600; grants for school buikijngs, £540; improvements to lighthouses, £1250.
