THE GISBORNE CLUB
The-following are the handicaps and the.draw for the handicap-fours of the Gisborne Club, for which handsome gold medals have been donated by Mr J. H. Martin:— Kyiue, Seymour, Mclntosh, and Eure (skip) 4 points v. R. G. Crawford, Colebroolc, Ambridge, and Gaudin (skip) 3 points ; Boulton. Hansen, E. Lewis, and 1 F. Martin (skip)'scr. -v. Townson, O’Meara, G. Miller’, and Ponsford scr. ; Bullock, Lucas, Partridge, and J. J. Martin (skip) scr. v. Pavitt,, Malcolm, W. Pettie, and R. Robertson (skip) 3 points,; Redstone, Morgan, Williams, Hennessy (skip) 3 points v. Wilson, T. Adair, W. It. Clarkson, and Corson (s'K-ip) 3 points; Brown, J. Pettie, Dodd, and Simson (skip) scr. v. Cussen, Burton. J. H. Martin, and Craig (skip) 4 points-; T. Clarkson, Zacharialr, Brady, and Witty (skip) 4 points v. Wootton. H. Miller, F. Pettie, and Hookey (skip) 4 points.
TURANGANUI CLUB. ' At the Turanganui Club’s green yesterday afternoon three more games -in tlie Bennett Cup competition were played, tlie results being: M. G.. -NasmitK inr. (22) Lett J. Stormont (12). -''Nasmith assumed the lead and on the 9t-li head was 12 to 4 V The lead v was maintained with variation, 4 Nasmith ultimately winning by ten points. J, Stormont (16) heat J. Jouno (5). This game was thrown up on the 12th head, when the scores were as above, Jctine considering his chances hopeless. - B.'Hird (19) beat W. H. Douglas (14). This was a good gime till the 18th head, tlie scores being 5 all on the 7tli head and ll all on the 15th. A ding-dong “go” then ensuccr, wliich ultimately resulted in liird winning by 5 points.
