NAPIER, Jan. 22. A special meeting of the Hawke's Bay Land Board was held to-day. The meeting then aveht into committee to consider -whether the leases of the following small grazing runs, which expire on February 28th. 1910. should be renewed or resumed foreloser settlement. On resuming in open Board the Commissioner .announced Unit the following recommendations had been decided upon: Run No. 1, Waiau Survey District, TILL -acres 3 roods, .present .rental £3B 17s Gd, occupant J-amos F. Smyth.—To ln> ire-oJlorod in .terms of report. The area adjoining at present held under miscellaneous lease to be ineluded in tlio new small grazing run lease.

No. 3, Tara mama i -Survey District, 1610 acres 2 roods, present rental £22 13s 9d, occupant Stephen Thorpe.—'Lease of whole run to be ■offered to the present lessee. ;Ruu No. 44 (Lot 1), W-aingaromai Survey District, 2000 acres, rental £l2 10s. F. J. DcLisle. sub-leased to Joseph Wo oiler, at £4OO per annum. —-Lease of the -whole run to be offered to the present lessee mt 24 per cent, on. the unimproved value. Run 54, Tokomaru Survey District, 6300 acres, present rental £39 7s Gd, occupant Goo. J. White. —The run to he subclivcled into four, and a,lease over subdivision 1, -about 2000 acres, to be offered to the present lessee, and the other, subdivisions to be offered under the optional system. Run 56, Tokomaru and Tutamoe -Survey Districts, 3656 acres, present rental £22 17 s, occupant David ! Bruce. —The lease of the whole run ! to bo offered to the present lessee. Run No. 64, Taramarama Survey District, 2060 acres 2 roods, present rental £25 15s, occupant S. R. 'Mitchell. —The lease of the whole run to -be offered to the present occupant.
